Flat bottom Silos are constructed with a flat bottom surface and are designed by advanced technology and can withstand all types of material storage.
For any type of grain storage above 500MT capacities, flat bottom silos are recommended.
The corrugated, performed, silos panels are assembled cylindrically on circular purlins and vertical stiffeners with bolts and nuts on the heavy concrete rings with deep civil foundations constructed at the site to suit the size of the grain silos.
All the necessary accessories are also provided.
In addition, a sweep auger is also fixed inside the flat concrete bottom for easy discharge outlets with valves.
A sloped roof with manholes, roof ladder and handrails is also constructed at the top of the cylindrical side wall assembled.
The necessary inside and outside ladders with guards are also provided.
There are certain distinct advantages in using corrugated Zinc aluminum sheet panels instead of corrugated galvanized steel panels for building the silos.
Alternatively, there is another option which is Hopper bottom grain silos.
Characteristics of Flat Bottom Silos
Dynamic Analysis of silo structural stability is carried out considering the seismic zone and wind loads of respective areas where the silos will be installed.

High quality and extremely strong materials are used during the production process of the silos.
Zincalume steel sheets are used in the manufacturing of the silos, which are able to withstand strength 350MPa.
Zincalume steel has alloy coating of zinc, aluminium, and silicon carried out at 600-degree centigrade which provides much superior corrosion resistance properties, besides special resin coating and passivation is also done to improve scratch resistant properties.
The standard GI Silos of G-140 (450gr/m2) zinc coating and G-115 (350gr/m2) zinc coating may also be provided according to the customer’s request.
HOPPER BOTTOM SILOS
Hopper Bottom Silos are generally built on fabricated steel structures with the conical bottom made of steel plates and the corrugated sheets performed are assembled with bolts and nuts on circular purlins and vertical stiffeners with waterproof washers, cylindrically above the conical hopper with a sloped roof in the top. Ladders to climb and get into the silos, handrails, manholes etc are provided.
The grains will be discharged by gravity to the bucket elevator/belt conveyor for onward conveying.
These silos can also be built on the top of the concrete conical hopper with beams and columns built in situ.
Aeration, ventilation, temperature monitoring system as required are all provided to the built hopper bottom silos.
Normally these steel silos are recommended for storage up to 500 tones of grains like paddy having the density of less than 550kg/m3.
Alternatively, there is another option which is flat bottom grain silos.
Characteristics of Hopper Bottom Silos
Hopper Bottom Silos are multipurpose and are suitable for grain processing plants, animal feed plants, grain milling plants, and poultry houses.
Hopper Bottom Silos are manufactured in capacities from 20 Tons to 1000 Tons.

However, the bottom hoppers of angle 50, 55, 60 degrees may also be manufactured on request.
Designing
Follows Reliability Centered Design philosophy while designing our Grain Silos. Idea is to design with Right at First time approach and major focus is on safety of grains inside silo. All grain conditioning systems like Aeration, Ventilation, and Fumigation systems are designed considering moisture and relative humidity of the specific grain for which silo is to be used. Condition monitoring system is chosen in such a way that operators are able to maintain moisture and relative humidity inside silo with ease.
